Netflix - Make me Fall in Love

Hi. As you know I am a huge fan of movies. I love Romantic books and Romantic movies. I have to say I have an immature taste in Romance tastes. I love watching people fall in love, that breathless moment when they stumble into a wall as they kiss and the butterflies from that moment when their eyes meet. Of course there is also a time for the raunchy stuff but most of these will be the sweet loving moments. these are not in order of preference Teen Romance Before I fall - Goes from silly to poignant. the Duff - Mae Whitman is brilliant. I love an actress who can't laugh at herself. And a very cute male lead. Easy A - Hardly a teen drama. Its too good to be. the Spectacular Now - Sad but powerful Any Twilight Movie - I am a sucker for the supernatural. Clueless - another classic the Hunger Games movies - are good but the books are better. the Space Between Us - I really enjoyed this. Sweet. the Fault in our Stars and Paper Towns - both John Green books beautifully brou

Preheat oven and grease muffin tins. I use PAM Baking In large bowl, mix together B ingredients. In another bowl mix together A ingredients. Mix A ingredients into B ingredients by hand. DO NOT USE A MIXER WHEN MAKING MUFFINS. Cook Large muffins 25-30min and Small muffins 15-18min. Cool 5 min in pans, cool remainder on cooling racks, bag and freeze.

Paint Nite with friends.

Image
Tamara, Julia and I went out for a nice dinner at Roos and a Paint Nite last Monday. It was a really nice time even if I'm not totally happy with results. Then I made changes... Still not happy. 😣

Charging Station Creation

Image
Let us get rid of all those wires   We have so much technology around these days that there is a charger in every room, in every outlet and the kids still fight over chargers. I want all their technology in one place and everyone to have their own charger and own spot to charge. This is what I came up with.

Final Day - Paint Nite Revisited - Snow Trees

Image
Final Day of Creativity Challenge So my birthday weekend was really nice.  I didn't think anyone would come to share my freedom so I booked myself into a Paint Nite near my hotel to eat up some of the time. I didn't exactly like the painting but I think it turned out pretty good considering.  I learned that as an artist I can see the changes that need to made to make a painting make sense. I find Paint Nite very simple and one dimensional. It is the little additions that make the difference between an OK painting and a good painting and sometimes even a great painting. I don't know where that comes from.  I would say good.

Day 9 - 12, 16 - 18 - Reflection

Image
This one might take awhile because I don't seem to have as much time as I thought I did. Day 17-18 Its done. I'm really happy with it. It's an unusual painting for me. You have to close to see how beautiful it really is. Day 16 I'm never going to finish this. Argh! Day 11-12 Base is done, Day 9 and 10 I have chosen an idea and sketched it out. It's my first time working on humanish faces and exact reflections.

Day 15 - Family Speed

Image
Day 15 Family day was a total write off in the ART department but like I said creativity is sometimes just about being creative.  Husband was working so 3 kids home when everyone else is busy with family. I was creative at keeping my 7 yr old engaged and learning to read. I was creative in challenging my 12 yr old to make her own decisions when it comes to making gifts for her friends for Valentines day. And I was super duper creative in helping my 9 yr old prepare for the Kub Kar races. I totally geeked out and probably was more interested than he was because he sure disappeared fast when technology time hit and I was still trying to get it to run on all 4 wheels. I found out today that that is not so important.

Day 13-14 - Keeping Friendship Warm

Image
Creativity is not only painting but creating. My friend's birthday fell this weekend and she mentioned she liked my son's crocheted toque. I got this wonderful yarn and went to town after I finished my current dishcloth. I always seem to have one of those going. Day 13-14

Dayso 4 - 8 - Washed Away and Cakes

Image
Day 4 So this has been a very trying day. I had 3 kids worth of activities I had to deal with and throw in a couple bonus kid activities that all fall at the same time and then cupcake #3 goes and throws a huge wrench in the works. Needless to say not much time to create. I still got in 2 hrs so I started this and hope to finish it tomorrow but have decided to take cupcake #3 to the child and youth mental health intake drop in tomorrow so maybe not. We will see. Day 5 Messed up Day 6 I didn't any pictures but I made 3 cakes for my little guys school carnival cake walk. Day 7 Worked on the painting but didn't photograph because I was so frustrated. Bad day! Day 8 Finally finished but I must say the water was very difficult. I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

Day 2 and 3 - Spirit

Image
So I may have bit off  more than I can chew with this quest. Especially with kids home on a pro-d. Started this today and will fix it tomorrow because something about it bugs me. Day 2 Day 3

A painting a day - Inspiration.

Image
I have recently given up volunteering for an organization that bullied me, threatened me and accused me of things I didn't do.  The stress it caused, caused my condition to get so bad, that honestly, i didnt know if i would make it to New Years. This has freed up my time and mind and spirit and I'm still here and doing better. To discover what makes me happy and more about myself, I am going to try and paint or do something creative everyday till my birthday.  But I am a mom of 3 so lets see how it goes. Lets get started with Day 1 -

My daughter is turning 12...

Image
So my daughter is turning 12 this weekend and yet again I am slaving away preparing a party for 13 preteen friends, 2 brothers and one birthday girl. And the theme of the year...emojis. More accurate 'poop' emoji. That one wasn't that difficult but Mady's favorite is the blushing emoji. I must say not an easy task when making a cake without fondant. I mixed Raspberry jello with yellow icing to make a peachy color for the blushing and gel for the eyes and mouth. All while getting over the flu.  I AM A SUPERHERO!
