Painting - the Sharing Bear

Image
This is a new concept I'm working on. The painting within the painting.

Paint Nite with friends.

Tamara, Julia and I went out for a nice dinner at Roos and a Paint Nite last Monday. It was a really nice time even if I'm not totally happy with results. Then I made changes... Still not happy. 😣

Charging Station Creation

Image
Let us get rid of all those wires   We have so much technology around these days that there is a charger in every room, in every outlet and the kids still fight over chargers. I want all their technology in one place and everyone to have their own charger and own spot to charge. This is what I came up with.

Final Day - Paint Nite Revisited - Snow Trees

Image
Final Day of Creativity Challenge So my birthday weekend was really nice.  I didn't think anyone would come to share my freedom so I booked myself into a Paint Nite near my hotel to eat up some of the time. I didn't exactly like the painting but I think it turned out pretty good considering.  I learned that as an artist I can see the changes that need to made to make a painting make sense. I find Paint Nite very simple and one dimensional. It is the little additions that make the difference between an OK painting and a good painting and sometimes even a great painting. I don't know where that comes from.  I would say good.

Day 9 - 12, 16 - 18 - Reflection

Image
This one might take awhile because I don't seem to have as much time as I thought I did. Day 17-18 Its done. I'm really happy with it. It's an unusual painting for me. You have to close to see how beautiful it really is. Day 16 I'm never going to finish this. Argh! Day 11-12 Base is done, Day 9 and 10 I have chosen an idea and sketched it out. It's my first time working on humanish faces and exact reflections.

Day 15 - Family Speed

Image
Day 15 Family day was a total write off in the ART department but like I said creativity is sometimes just about being creative.  Husband was working so 3 kids home when everyone else is busy with family. I was creative at keeping my 7 yr old engaged and learning to read. I was creative in challenging my 12 yr old to make her own decisions when it comes to making gifts for her friends for Valentines day. And I was super duper creative in helping my 9 yr old prepare for the Kub Kar races. I totally geeked out and probably was more interested than he was because he sure disappeared fast when technology time hit and I was still trying to get it to run on all 4 wheels. I found out today that that is not so important.
